About Me

Appalachian Woman

I’m a lucky girl.  I spend my days writing from my corner home office; barefoot in lounge pants and a t-shirt – unless it’s winter – then I add a hoodie and put on some socks.  The real irony is that I write about fashion.  I grew up in Virginia with the backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains always in sight.  I moved to Georgia in 2008 where I met the love of my life and my best friend and later started my Appalachian life here in Dahlonega, GA.

I like beer, animals, writing, football, things that are purple, velvet, camouflage, hiking, red meat, Fords, the color green, the Dallas Cowboys, the Dawgs, cupcakes and having really great ideas that sometimes don’t come to fruition.  Oh, and using words like fruition.  I’m opinionated, I love to cook and I shoot a decent game of pool but please don’t ever hand me a set of darts.  I absolutely cannot let a man cry alone.  I am incapable of successfully growing flowers, but I love them so I keep trying.  I hate housework, but I’m kind of handy with a hammer.  My cats have me trained quite well, thank you, and I would get a dog if Jim would let me.

So, there are some random facts about me.  Useless information, really, but you read it anyway.  I’d love to hear from y’all, whether you have a question about something you’ve seen on the site or you just want to say hi!  ~Christine
