Ch-ch-ch-changes….

I’m sure by now y’all have noticed my prolonged absence.  Since my last post, I very unexpectedly lost my dear, sweet, beautiful mama to a surgery gone seriously wrong.  It is the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through in my life.  On top of that huge, life-altering change, I also got a really awesome new  job in a new state.  I’ve been woefully underemployed for two and a half years now, and this new job is very exciting!  It will take Guitar Dude and I a couple of hours up the road to Chattanooga, TN.  I am leaving on Sunday the 16th and will be living out of a hotel for the first few weeks until we can get into our very own home.  Yep, we’re buying our first house!  So many changes in such a short amount of time.

I’ve enjoyed posting on Appalachian Woman giving out recipes, talking about North Georgia, sharing random thoughts, etc., but I am just not in the same place anymore.  SO!  As soon as my hosting account is finalized, I will be setting up a new blog where I can share with y’all all of my new adventures (and I’m sure a few misadventures!) in Chattanooga.  Eventually, this website will redirect to the new one, but until then you can go ahead and bookmark the new one now!  ;)

Did I mention you should also “Like” my Facebook page?!?!  Purty please?!

I’ll be on my own in Chattanooga for the first few weeks as we transition between here and there, so the content on Chattown Girl should start rolling in quickly because I’m definitely planning on taking my camera!  I have to do something to keep myself entertained.  There’s only so much room service a girl can eat.  Ahh, who am I kidding?  I can eat a lot of room service!  Still, I’m anxious to get out and explore.

Thank you to each and every one of you who read this blog, and I truly hope you’ll all join me as I embark on the next phase of my life.

Love,
Christine
