This other blog I read has a feature called “Shit I Did While I Was Away,” or something close to that, so I thought I’d totally copy her and, instead of making up a bunch of excuses about how busy I’ve been, I just figured I’d share with y’all what’s been going on in my world in the last week or so. Yes, I made that one sentence. And, yes, we have eaten since the Sour Cream and Chive Scrambled Eggs post.

Poblano and sweet onion... that's how we do it 'round here.
We ate this in some delicious chicken vegetable soup, as a matter of fact. I also figured out I can eat naturally aged cheddar. That was pretty huge.
After all that excitement, some other things happened I can’t talk about publicly, and I vowed that if it didn’t work out, I would quit being a chicken shit and do something with photography. To tell you the truth, I’m relieved it didn’t work out. I can’t be boxed in, man. But, here’s the thing… now I have to quit being a chicken shit. I feel like I set myself up. I’m tricky that way sometimes. So, without any other details just yet, put a *watch this spot* over on cannephoto.com. I’m going to resurrect my original blog site as my professional photography site, and since Guitar Dude is designing it, it is going to kick ass. As am I! You heard it here first. Oh, and as of this morning, I’ve sold 7 photos in the first three months of this year. I sold zero all of last year. Not a bad improvement, if I do say so myself. Thank you to those who’ve humored me and bought my artwork.
Guitar Dude’s band, Jig Bone, played at the 40 Watt in Athens, GA on St. Patrick’s Day. It had been a longtime dream of his to someday play on the same stage as so many famous acts. The night went off without a hitch. In fact, they kicked ass, and I am thankful that I got some decent photos to help preserve the memories for the guys. I was scared to death I would get home, upload them, and they would all be junk. Thankfully that didn’t happen. I don’t know if I have a future in concert photography, but I can tell you that I sure enjoy the heck out of doing it. It combines so many of my favorite things… Guitar Dude, photography, live music, beer, bars. What’s not to love?

Oh, and if you’re still reading, thank you, and be sure to subscribe by email on the main page for a chance to win a sugar scrub from Old Red Barn Co.! There’s only a little over a week left!

Awesome! So happy for you! Can’t wait to see your photos!
Whoo! Yay on so many levels! Now, since you can eat aged cheddar, get to work on a Tinetine style mac & cheese recipe before I die.
I plan on doing just that very soon!
And, how did you discover you could eat Organic Aged Cheddar? I love your site & even better, your sense of humor! So proud of you!
G-ma, I did some reading a while back that mentioned naturally aged cheddar cheeses are lactose-free. The lactose disappears 3 – 4 weeks after the cheese is made, while it is aging. I don’t think you can eat that kind of cheese because of the mold? I’m not sure on that one. So, I found Cabot brand aged cheddar in the grocery store, and it says right on the package “0 grams of lactose.” I’ve been eating it for about a week now without any problems. *knock on wood*
